Old Diabetes paraphernalia required for our new ‘ Diabetes Through Time’ curiosity cabinet.
The Diabetes Team are collecting old outdated diabetes paraphernalia to put in a cabinet in the patients waiting room at the Diabetes Centre. If you or a family member have had diabetes for a long time and have outdated equipment we would love it if you could donate it or loan it to the centre. Suggestions : newspaper cuttings, old glass syringes, needles that used to be sharpened, urine testing equipment, blood glucose meters, early insulin pens etc Anything old to do with Diabetes greatly appreciated. Please e mail or call with any queries.

The Diabetes Team continue to collect donations of healthy non- perishable items of food for the Grace Trust. The Grace Trust is a charitable food bank providing food parcels for those in financial difficulty. If you have a very limited disposable income, It can be very hard to eat ‘ healthy’ when foods high in fat and sugar are often cheaper. We would be very grateful if people could donate the odd item of food to help people with diabetes with limited finances. Examples are :
Pasta / rice / tins of soup / baked beans/ tinned fish/tinned vegetables/ sugar free squashes/ tea / coffee / plain biscuits / cereals such as Porridge Oats, Weetabix, Shreddies, Shredded Wheat, Special K, Bran Flakes etc.
All donations of food will be greatly appreciated – thank you.
