TONIGHT WEDNESDAY 11TH OCTOBER AT THE MERTON HOTEL AT 6PM FOR 6.30PM A FREE TALK BY ROBIN ELLIS ACTOR AND FOOD WRITER - COOKING TO CONTROL AND PREVENT DIABETES.
Known in his home town in South West France as “The Anglais who cooks” British actor, Robin Ellis shares his lifetime collection of healthy and simple recipes especially selected and adapted for people wishing to control or prevent Types 2 diabetes.
Diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes himself, Robin explains the strategic changes he made - in what he eats and how he prepares his food - that allowed him to bring his glucose levels down sufficiently to avoid taking medication for six years.
Robin believes that healthy food should be enjoyable and not viewed as a temporary diet but a lifetime of tasty enjoyment.
Best known as having starred as Captain Ross Poldark in the BBC 1970s adaptation of Poldark, Robin has returned to TV to play the Reverend Halse in the current 21st Century hit TV series. Indeed, Robin goes straight from Jersey to start filming the fourth series. Robin’s talk will be illustrated with photos and clips including scenes with the current Poldark played by actor Aidan turner.
